The rooms are compact, but very clean and equipped with everything we needed: a safe, mini fridge, toiletries, and a big bed. The two sisters who run the hostel speak good English and helped us a lot, from suggesting places to visit to arranging excursions and printing our boarding passes. Breakfast was delicious, especially the French toast, which looks much better in person than in photos. They also have a restaurant, so when we got in from our coach at 6am, we could sit and rest there for a while. Highly recommend.

The standard king room is tiny, though it was just enough space for me traveling alone. With a couple and more than one suitcase, it could be a squeeze. There’s also no elevator, so expect to carry your things up several flights. That said, the hotel was clean, the staff were really nice, the shower was large, and Wi-Fi worked well throughout. Having a restaurant was a nice extra, and it’s comfortable to sit there with a laptop and work. Out back there’s a deck with a couple of hammocks, tables, and chairs, a good spot to relax and get some air. It’s close to the old city center, which made exploring easy.

I’d happily return to this lovely little hotel. The rooms are spacious, and it’s right in the heart of Chiang Mai’s old city, in a quiet area that’s still near attractions and nightlife. The staff were welcoming every time and very helpful with anything I asked.

Our standard room was small but had what we needed. It was very clean, with good air conditioning and a safe, and one of the few rooms in Southeast Asia I’ve found with conditioner. The woman at reception was friendly and really helpful. You can’t beat the location, especially for the Sunday night market, which is very close.

Nai Wiang was a lovely stop on our Thailand trip. The street was quiet even though we were right in central Chiang Mai, very close to the Sunday market and within walking distance of pretty much everywhere. The staff were always smiling and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable, with great showers that we needed in the heat. We skipped a night of our booking for a village homestay, and they let us keep our luggage in the room for free without us even asking. They were great, thanks!
