Ruen Come In

The location is a bit out from the city, though there are local shops within walking distance and Maya shopping centre isn't far. We loved our stay from beginning to end. The traditional-style rooms are gorgeous and have modern comforts, and ours and the bathroom were clean. Service was impeccable, both friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included and made to order in the morning. We also swam in the medium-sized pool at the back, which was well maintained.

Sleep was impossible with three separate noise sources: an all-night nightclub playing loud music until dawn, heavy traffic on the nearby highway starting around 4-5 AM, and constant loud frog croaking from a pond downstairs. Maintenance was terrible. The rooms didn't get enough natural light, and toilets in two of our rooms were broken and overflowed, leaving the bathroom floors covered in water. A sink in one room leaked for two days before anyone fixed it. There was no exhaust fan, and the bathroom often smelled strongly. After using the laundry service, I had a severe allergic reaction to cat hair. The hotel has several resident cats, so I'm very concerned about its cleaning practices and whether the cats had contact with our clothes.

A quiet, pleasant place to unwind, with a cozy garden and a touch of local charm. It's a beautiful house in traditional Lanna style, with modern, stylish rooms. The city center is a little far away, but getting around by Grab or scooter is easy.

Breakfast is served beside the pool, and the staff are kind and helpful. They offered suggestions for traditional nearby restaurants, night markets and street food. The house is green and quiet, though it's a little away from the city center, so having a scooter or using a bike-taxi or regular taxi is better. The modern rooms are stylish and have beautiful bathrooms. We were on the second floor and could enjoy a balcony. The house itself is a lovely, peaceful Lanna-style home, decorated with traditional pieces from Chiang Mai and made thoughtfully with recycled wood from hundred-year-old houses. A lovely way to get a touch of local culture and rest from the crowds. I'm very thankful for my beautiful stay in this traditional Lanna-style house from northern Thailand. 🦄
