Smile Lanna Hotel

We booked our first stay here after seeing good reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful, and their hospitality made the stay great. Rooms are spacious, with decent facilities including a fridge, free snacks, and drinks. Breakfast has a wide selection of cuisines, excellent coffee, and roti. There’s also an onsite coffee shop, plus daily happy hour from 1-3pm with drinks, fruit, and snacks. The pool was clean and had clean towels, though it only opens from 7am to 7pm. There were some drawbacks. The rooms aren’t soundproof, and noise from the pool, other rooms, and corridors could get loud. The bathroom soap and shampoo were poor quality for a four-star hotel, and the gym was very small with poor ventilation.

The staff made us feel so welcome and cared for at this quaint, well-kept place. We loved the pool and the daily afternoon happy hour, with complimentary fruit, desserts, and tea. They also had bracelet making in the mornings. The old town is close enough to walk to. I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it.

The garden was the real highlight for me. It packs ponds, rice terraces, a waterfall, and a creek with koi into a small urban jungle. My favorite spot was the hammock by the cafe, looking out over the greenery. The hotel is right at the old town entrance, across from a nice park. We enjoyed our three-day city trip here more than we usually do. The pool was fresh and clean, and our room had everything we needed and was clean. The staff were friendly, especially the very warm and helpful concierge and security team. The hotel truly made us smile.

Every staff member was so helpful, and the hotel grounds were well maintained. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had more variety than I’ve come across anywhere, with excellent coffee. The location was perfect too. Such an amazing hotel.
