Warisa Apartment

Clean and handy, with free Wi-Fi. A great fit if you're looking for budget accommodation in Chiang Mai city.

The room is great, but it's too far from everything and really difficult to get to.

I moved to Chiang Mai for work recently and needed somewhere urgently, so I found this place online. The room looked nice, and I signed a one-year monthly rental contract. After moving in, I realized what a mistake that was. The dorm is right beside a main road, with traffic all day and night. The room has no soundproofing, so I hear the traffic while trying to sleep. I can barely watch a movie or play music through my home theater speakers because the sound bothers people in the other rooms. Now I have to put up with it for another year. 😑

The noise is so bad that sleeping feels like lying beside the road. Cars go by all day and night, and planes are still flying at midnight. There was an empty room inside, but the staff didn't put us there. They should try sleeping in a roadside room themselves so they won't assign one like this to anyone else. Soundproofing would help. If you're thinking of staying, ask which room you'll get. Go ahead only if you can tolerate cars roaring all night as if they're right next to your ear.
