Yi's Garden Villa

The garden is a peaceful place to unwind, and the friendly hospitality makes it easy to settle in. Yi’s Garden Villa is right in the Old City, so it’s quiet without leaving you feeling cut off. The design is simple and thoughtful. It doesn’t try to be luxurious, but it gets the balance right, and the calm, walkable setting gives it a real sense of place. I’ll remember it after leaving the garden gate.

We were happy with our stay and would return. The staff were very helpful with arranging tours, cooking classes and transport. The hotel has a nice pool, although there isn’t much space around it to relax, and the rooms looked as they did on the booking site but had limited space for staff. Its Old Town location and attractive price made it good value.

Our flight landed at 1 a.m., and the staff kindly waited for us to check in. We’d booked two standard rooms, and they upgraded one for my Mom and Aunt. It was bigger and on the first floor. The other guests were considerate and kept to the quiet hours. Thanks for a great stay!

I spent hours by the pool chatting with other guests and getting to know the lovely staff. The location puts you close to plenty to do, from massage, nails and hair to food. There’s a vegetarian/vegan place across the street and a great smoothie restaurant around the corner. My room was small, but just right for one person. If you want one of the bigger rooms, book early. There’s also a room that opens straight onto the pool and another with a balcony. The beds and showers are Asian style, which is what you’d expect in SE Asia. I’ll stay here again when I come back.
