Hi Chiangrai Hotel

The staff were so kind and welcoming, and really went out of their way to look after us. When we had to check out early on our last morning, they prepared food for us and helped us get through the language barrier for our onward travel. Breakfast had a good selection, with food cooked fresh to order. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel is an easy walk from the town centre. Thoroughly recommended.

It’s easy to get to the night market and downtown from this hotel, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The rooms were clean and tidy. There’s an EV charging station, plus motorbike and bicycle rentals, and a swimming pool.

It’s a nice walk to the night bazaar and bus station, and the breakfast was very nice. The service was great too. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep on, though not great. My only complaint is the door: it’s so thin that it doesn’t block the noise at all.

The location made getting around easy: the main bus station and Night Bazaar with its street markets are each about a five-minute walk away. The Blue Temple is around a 15-minute motorbike ride, and the White Temple about 25 minutes. I stayed in two rooms after extending my stay, since the one with the large balcony was no longer available. The photos show both. The room was spotless when we arrived and stayed that way, with lots of space to spread out. The mattress felt like a cloud, the sheets were so soft, and the comforter was just the right weight. We had two rainy days, and I honestly didn’t mind being stuck inside because it was so cozy. The furniture is a little dated but well kept, which didn’t bother me. The shower was the only practical drawback, as it’s on the small side. Big thanks to Ching and Kharpawn at the front desk. They were warm, helpful, and patient, and went above and beyond helping me sort out the logistics for my Laos trip. I didn’t swim, but the pool area looked gorgeous and very clean.
