The Areaac

A clean, no-frills room where everything worked, with new air conditioning and a soft bed. For the price, this was the best budget hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time 😃😃😃. The room wasn’t beautiful, but it was good value.

The Wi-Fi stayed stable and was generally fast, though the TV mostly had the usual local channels and little international choice. I booked two nights and would stay again. It’s right on the highway, handy for a night or two on a drive, and I didn’t notice road noise, but there isn’t much around for food or other things. The room was a good size, with a soft, comfortable bed, nice sheets and pillows, plenty of storage, plus a hotpot and coffee. The bathroom was fine but cramped in places. The shower and toilet are separated, though the toilet area is tight. It’s a budget hotel with the basics. There’s coffee and toast in the morning, and the building and parking area are well kept. No washer or other amenities. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and good value at around 500 Baht.

The receptionist was exceptionally accommodating. The place sits right on the highway, but I didn’t find it noisy. It’s tucked into nature, so there were a lot of insects around, almost all outside. Breakfast was just toast, butter, and two bowls of jam.

The room itself was comfortable, but the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. There’s no breakfast, just coffee and toast. I thought it was about 100 baht overpriced, especially after staying at better, cheaper places in Lampang and elsewhere in Thailand. I wouldn’t come back.
