Clear House Resort

The room was large and the family who own the place are lovely. It’s affordable and cheerful, though a bit dated. Our ground floor balcony faced reception across from us, so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The safe was tiny, and the balcony door was broken when we arrived. The owner fixed it promptly.

We asked the woman who runs the place about the TV when it wouldn’t start. We went off to breakfast, and by the time we came back she’d had a brand new smart TV installed. That was far beyond what we’d asked for, and her service was fantastic. She’s also really sweet, funny, and friendly. The hotel is affordable, clean, and has a nice pool area. It’s a five-minute walk from the beach, and they offer laundry service too. Very nice place!

We gave it three stars because the staff were kind and welcoming, and the outdoor areas were well looked after. The pool was nicely maintained, and our spacious room had a pleasant balcony overlooking it. The location is excellent, within walking distance of beaches and lots of restaurants. Inside the room, though, cleanliness may disappoint if that’s a priority for you. Apart from making the bed, it didn’t seem to get regular attention. There was a strong sewage smell in the shower, and our bed linens weren’t changed during the stay.

Clean, pleasant place, about 10 minutes from the center and Kamala beach. I recommend it.
