We spent 5 nights here and loved it. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well, and it felt like good value for the price. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching people and the food stalls outside, with the sound of the sea nearby. There were two windows to keep the street noise out.

The location was excellent, with the beach a 2-minute walk away and a 7-eleven plus food options right outside. We stayed 7 nights at Kamala Sea View. Our room was large but a little dated. It had two single beds, a small kitchen with a microwave oven, and a balcony facing the ocean. Towels were changed daily and some cleaning was done, though the cleaning could be better. For longer stays, the bedsheets should be changed after more than a few nights. Check-in was a mess. We arrived around noon and nobody was at the apartment. Neither the number on the door sign nor the one on Agoda worked. We had to ask around the neighborhood to find someone who knew the owner. In the heat, we waited 60 minutes with all our baggage and our 8-month-old baby. They definitely need to improve the check-in experience.

At 4 AM on the first night, I was searching online for somewhere else to stay. It's hard to believe a hotel this badly maintained still exists. We had two rooms from December 30 through January 4th, and found damaged bathrooms and appliances that were missing altogether. After three days we asked staff to clean the rooms, but at 9:00 AM they told us we should have asked the day before.

The location alone is great, very close to the sea. The owner is helpful and looks after guests, and the staff are always smiling. Everything is clean, the shower has hot water, and there's free coffee in the rooms. Everything else is a bonus.

Restaurants, shops, and the beach are all nearby, and the people here are really nice. The bed was decent, though it could be better. For the price and location, this place is hard to beat.
