Getting here from the pier is easy, just a relaxed five-minute walk, and the staff can help arrange taxis and boat trips. Since the resort is on the south side of the island, there’s usually a pleasant evening breeze and hardly any mosquitoes, though there are many more farther inland. A few minutes inland by road, you’ll find several nice, authentic restaurants; the village center, with lots of bars, pubs, and restaurants, is about a ten-minute walk away. We felt welcome from the start during our five nights. It’s a small family-run place, and the owners are caring and friendly, which gives it a warm, home-like feel. The property itself is well kept, clean, and free of litter, although you do see trash and get a glimpse of local fishermen’s lives on the way there. There’s a gentle dog family on the grounds, including a very cute puppy, plus chickens and two roosters that start crowing fairly early at night. We got used to them quickly. Breakfast was generous, with a great selection each morning. A toilet issue was fixed right away when we mentioned it. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend it, and found the value unbeatable.

The rooms were phenomenal, and the ocean breeze kept things comfortable during the day despite there being no AC. In the evening, sitting on the porch listening to the waves was so peaceful. The people running the place made us feel at home, and the breakfast was the best.

The restaurant was fantastic, with the best breakfast of our holiday: made to order, plus a different Thai specialty each day. The fruit shakes were great too, and the staff were amazing. The accommodation itself was stunning. It’s a bit farther from town and swimming beaches than most resorts, but we liked the peace away from the crowds. Getting around took just 5-10 minutes on foot or by tuk tuk. We’d definitely stay again.

The resort is very well maintained, and breakfast was so good. The location is amazing, close to the pier, with the sea practically right outside the room. There’s no AC, but the sea breeze makes up for it. Highly recommend.
