Kata Beach Studio

Kata Beach Studio was a really disappointing stay. The room was dirty and in bad shape, with grimy towels and sheets, and things seemed to be falling apart. On our first full day, the shower and sink stopped working in the morning. We told reception, but it took nearly the whole day to fix them, so we couldn’t use the room at all. Nobody offered us another room or any compensation. The staff on duty didn’t keep us informed about how long repairs would take. We were also upset that the bedroom door was left open after the plumber went out to buy equipment. When we raised this with the receptionist, he laughed and told us to use the pool shower. I would NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Phuket. The photos show the room while the engineer was working on the bathroom.

The convenient location made it easy to get around, and the price felt fair. My room was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed staying here and would come back.

The balcony was a nice place to sit in the evening, and my room had plenty of storage, a comfortable bed, and more space than I expected. It was clean, too, with a mini-fridge, kettle, good lighting, and strong Wi-Fi. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which mattered in Phuket, and housekeeping kept everything spotless each day. The hotel is in a handy spot, close to Kata Beach, shops, restaurants, massage places, and 7-Eleven. It was quiet enough to relax, without feeling far from anything or too crowded. From arrival through checkout, the staff made me feel welcome and looked after. I was genuinely impressed with Kata Beach Studio Hotel.

We arrived on 11/03/26 after booking online, and what we found was awful, like a jail cell. The floor was cracked, there was white moisture on the pillows, and the room didn’t match the online description. We checked out and moved to another hotel. They wouldn’t provide a refund or compensation when we asked. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
