The location really is close to everything, and the room was a decent size. But the policies made the stay frustrating and took away a lot of basic convenience. We booked and paid for two people but were given only one room key. It has to go into a slot by the door to power the room, so taking it out shuts off the outlets, AC, and refrigerator. You can’t charge laptops, power banks, or cameras while you’re out, and one person couldn’t leave with the key if the other was resting, because the room would lose power and AC. I understand the hotel may want to save electricity, but this penalizes paying guests who expect to keep things cold or charge devices securely while away. The visitor rule was also unreasonable and overpriced. Even though we had paid for two guests, the room’s maximum capacity, we were told a visitor would cost 650 Baht, even for a visit of an hour or less. An overnight charge might make sense for cheap accommodation, but this felt like an exploitative barrier to having visitors. The single-key power rule and the excessive visitor fee seriously reduced the value of the stay. Given all these frustrating inconveniences, I strongly recommend not paying more than $35 AUD per night.
