The staff were polite and helpful, and check-in and service went smoothly. There’s a pool, cared-for gardens, and a restaurant with Thai and international food. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a classic resort look; many have balconies for fresh air and views. It’s quiet, and could suit families, couples, or anyone wanting a break from city life. Up on a hill in Khao Kho, The Imperial Phukaew Hill Resort looks out over mountains and greenery, with morning mist especially in the cool season. It’s a calm nature stay with comfortable facilities and good views for a reasonable price.

The rooms are roomy and have a terrace or balcony where you can relax, and the view is lovely. The staff are helpful and nice. Get ready for a fresh look after the renovation in August 2026.

The beds were comfortable, and the location is great. In my experience, though, it was old and smelled really bad.

We ended up changing rooms four times during our two-night stay. The first room had no power and the lights wouldn’t turn on. In the second, the bathroom was dirty, old, and dusty, and the room wasn’t clean either. The bed had yellow stains that looked unwashed, with dust around the room. A broken faucet leaked badly, making it hard to shower; the water kept hitting the wall instead of the bathtub, and when turned all the way up it hurt my skin. The AC compressor was very loud. In the fourth room the bathroom faucet was a little better, but showering was still uncomfortable. The phone didn’t work, so we had to use our own phone to call the office for a shuttle ride. I wouldn’t recommend it.
