I spent seven nights here and would definitely choose it again. The room seemed clean, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. There was a safe in the room too. It’s only a couple of minutes from the beach, yet quiet at night since there aren’t many loud bars nearby, and other buildings block the music from beach bars. Seven Eleven, an ATM, pharmacy, small shops, and cheap places to eat are close by.

A few minutes on foot gets you to lots of restaurants, and the beach is only about 30 seconds away. I thought the price was fair for the accommodation. The room was okay and the bed just comfortable enough, though loose handles and a wobbly shower head made it feel a bit run down. The main man at reception was helpful: he rented me a decent bike and some gasoline, then booked a boat to Phi Phi. My main issue was the racket next door starting at 7am every day. Some guys hammered out a rhythm for most of the day, and the thin walls made it worse. The noise wasn’t the owner’s fault, but without it I’d have been fully satisfied.

Remember this face. He only wants your money and will promise anything. Once you’ve paid, things change and he just tries to get you to pay more. That’s how he does business.

Be very careful with LANTA PLACE Agency and MOOK ANDAMAN LANTA TOUR. We felt poorly treated and they didn’t seem to care about customers. We bought a 4-island tour. The salesman offered two options but wouldn’t name either company before we paid. He said the more expensive trip had a maximum of 20 people, while the other would have 40. We paid extra for the smaller group, but when we arrived there were almost 30 people. We had said we thought the price was high, but trusted his assurance that it was worth it. He also promised to sort out any problems when he got back from the excursion. We were disappointed with the service and snorkeling, and when we returned, they laughed at us along with the owner of Mook Andam Lanta Tour. Avoid both companies.
