We were backpacking through southern Thailand as a group, and the guy running the place was fantastic, friendly, chatty, and full of good recommendations. He even taught me pool one evening. Somehow I won two games, which never happens for me! Great value for the money, and I'd recommend it to backpackers.

The owner was friendly and clearly cared about how my stay went. While checking me in, he even tidied up any mess he noticed. There's a lovely outdoor area for relaxing or doing morning yoga :) The bed was comfortable enough and the curtains gave decent coverage. The shower was basic, and I used the same soap for washing my hands at the sink and my body.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, and the owner was friendly and very helpful. It's well placed for most of the fun nearby, and the bar's good pool table was a nice extra. Definitely recommend it!

The owner is an absolute sweetheart, and the place feels cozy. The rooms were sufficient, and the pool table was great. I met a few people, though it's not the most social hostel since there's only one dorm room. It's very central with lots of restaurants and bars around. The busy road right next door wasn't my favorite, but a three-minute walk takes you down a cute side street to the beach.

We stayed at the Travelers Friend for six days, and the staff are what made it feel special. Glyn, the owner, is charming, welcoming and always ready to help. He made us feel at home right away. Grazie mille per tutto and hopefully we will see each other again! ❤️🙏🏻 The bungalows sit in a quiet, lush garden and were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is excellent, five minutes on foot from the beach in the middle of long beach, with all kinds of restaurants close by. There's also a bar under a veranda with a pool table, a nice spot to chat and have casual drinks with other guests or people from outside. Linda and Matthew
