Villa Ayutthaya @ Golden Pool Villas

Koh Lanta itself won us over, and if we come back, we’d choose Villa Ayutthaya again. The place was lovely and clean inside and out, including the pool. The owners and hostess, Maria, were wonderful. They helped arrange rides from the airport and onward to the next island. Breakfast wasn’t included in the Booking.com offer, but you can buy a full set there. Maria really goes the extra mile to make it top-notch. We highly recommend them!

A great stay at Om's. The villa is fantastic, practical and spotlessly clean, with nothing to complain about. Special thanks to Maria and her husband, who manage the place. They’re so kind and incredibly helpful.

A beautiful villa with a lovely pool, and everything you need is there. It feels up to European standards. The location is great, about 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. Definitely recommended if you’re after peace and quiet.

We left two nights early because the villa turned out to be a disaster for us. There was a hole in an upstairs glass pane that looked like a bullet hole. Downstairs, insect droppings from what looked like the last ten years covered the bathroom ceiling light. The bath towels were stained and the bath mat hadn’t been cleaned. The pool loungers were broken and unusable, and the cushions had dirt in their folds. The area around them was uninviting. The property had been advertised using old photos of it brand new, but the actual condition was far removed from those pictures. For us it was unusable and didn’t work for a relaxing holiday.
