Chongkhao Resort

The fights inside the hotel made the place feel unsafe and hostile, and the facilities were in terrible shape, nowhere near what was advertised. During the stay, basic things like toilet paper were missing even after my guests asked, and the staff offered no empathy or useful help. On checkout day, they were made to leave the breakfast area at 10:00 a.m., despite having paid for four nights with four breakfasts included. It was humiliating and completely disrespectful. One of the worst hotel experiences ever. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.

We stopped for lunch during our tour and really enjoyed it. There was plenty to choose from, and everything we tried was tasty. Simple food that hit the spot.

The room was in much worse shape than the online photos suggested. The walls had stains and peeling paint, cleanliness was well below an acceptable level, and the fridge barely worked. Worse, the power cut out whenever we left, including to the refrigerator, so we couldn’t keep food or drinks cold while out. The bathroom had broken tiles, damaged surfaces, and nowhere proper to put soap or toothbrushes. Basic upkeep seemed neglected throughout. The air conditioner was also so loud that it kept disturbing our sleep. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

The staff were so helpful, and I really loved the room. I even left my hair straighteners behind, and they went out of their way to get them back to me by speedboat. Had a great time at Chong Khao, and I highly recommend staying here.
