Phi Phi Natural Resort

The private suite at Phi Phi Natural had a pool on the back deck overlooking the ocean, just perfect. We loved the privacy, the mostly empty beaches, and the easy snorkeling right off the resort beach. There were far fewer boats and people than in other parts of the island, and the rooms, service, and food were excellent. You don't really feel remote apart from having all that quiet to yourself. Getting here takes a little extra effort. From the mainland ferry shuttle, it's a 30-minute long-tail ride from Tonsai Pier to Phi Phi Natural Resort, the northernmost resort on the island. That extra leg was completely worth it. We highly recommend this area of Phi Phi and this resort in particular.

The snorkeling spots around the resort are excellent, and we loved the natural setting, with lush plants and a quiet sunset viewpoint with swings and chairs. The pool was well kept and good for families. Shuttles around the resort came every few minutes, and staff often took us directly to our room on request. Service was professional and quick whenever we needed anything. We're currently on a three-day stay at Phi Phi Natural Resort with our three-year-old daughter, and it's been a wonderful experience. The property is exceptionally clean, hygienic, and well maintained. As vegetarians, we were impressed by the breakfast buffet variety and the accommodating dinner menu. If you want to enjoy nature without giving up service or amenities, this is the place. Love from India!

We had a clean, comfortable superior bungalow with AC and our own porch. The breakfast buffet was great, with Thai and Western choices. The female assistant manager at the front was always smiling and helpful. I didn't catch her name, but she's wonderful. This is the northernmost part of the island, with private beach access and private rooms. Getting there takes some planning. Only one ferry company goes this way, and you need to take two ferries, first from Rassada, then change boats at Ton Sai. After that, you have to wait for a truck to bring you in, since there isn't pedestrian access to the beach with luggage.

We had a very pleasant five-night stay at Phi Phi Natural Resort. The bungalows were spacious and comfortable, and the walking distances across the spread-out resort were no problem for us. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and polite. A few small changes could improve things. It would help to have places to rinse sand off your feet at the main entrance and near each bungalow, since we kept bringing sand into the rooms. At breakfast, the French toast was often cold and dry even when replenished, so it would be better made fresh at the egg station. It would also be easier to tell beach towels and bath towels apart if they came in different colors. We enjoyed our stay and think these improvements could make the resort even better.
