RS Guesthouse

We’re backpacking and never expected a palace for 500bt a night, but be warned: staying here felt like being in a slum. There are no paved paths, so after rain everything turns to a mud quire. Over our seven nights, they never changed the bedding or towels, and the room bins were never emptied. Staff were miserable, ignorant, and very lazy. The bathrooms only had cold water. Avoid!!!

Staff were friendly, but they didn't speak English. The bed was perfectly clean. I paid 900 baht for one night, which felt expensive for a room with air con. The toilet and bathroom were extremely small, and had some rust.

Don't book here. The area around the hotel was dirty, messy, noisy, and ugly, and guests were making a mess with loud music until 5 AM. Someone stole from us inside the property. They have cameras, but the people responsible and the employees did nothing to support us. The employees just played cards all day and didn't care about the guests.

We left as soon as we saw the rooms. The place was filthy and smelled awful, and it wasn't worth even the lowest price. The route to get there was terrible, covered in rubbish, and made the island's beautiful surroundings feel completely spoiled. Stay away.
