Bar And Bed (sleepless Society @ Samed)

The room is spacious and clean, and feels more like a lovely apartment with a big yard than a hotel room. There’s a private beach, a small pool by the ocean, and some unusual places to sit beside or under the sea. My favorites were the beds next to the beach. A beautiful place, totally recommend.

The price to quality ratio was very poor. The hotel didn’t seem to have been maintained since we last stopped by for dinner four years ago. The rooms were dark, and I was bitten by bugs overnight. Breakfast was poor quality, and by 9 am they had run out of ham and yogurt even though the hotel wasn’t fully booked. It’s a pity to see dirty chairs on such a small, charming beach. I was very disappointed.

Sleepless Society was peaceful even over New Year, which made it feel suitable for families wanting to avoid the busy parts of the area. We enjoyed the stay. It’s set away from the shops, pubs, and noise, so you’ll need a taxi or bike to get around. The beach and main street, with plenty of shops and restaurants, are about an eight-minute drive away. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a pleasant, quiet atmosphere, though the food felt a little overpriced for its quality.

It’s an affordable, pleasant hotel within walking distance of the pier. Breakfast was okay, but if you order an omelet, be prepared to wait for it. Some of the staff struggle with English at times, though they’ll always call someone who can speak it.
