Mai Samui Beach Resort & Spa

Our room was poolside, in a very nicely designed place, and it was big with lots of space. Service from reception, the restaurant, and housekeeping was polite and helpful, as it usually is in Thailand. The sea was very warm, but swimming was difficult because of all the dead coral, and the tide made the beach disappear. Breakfast was at a restaurant that felt too small, so we often had to wait for a table.

NOK deserves a special thank you for her professionalism, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. The staff were always ready to help, and small issues at the start were handled quickly. Our room was cleaned daily, towels were changed each day, and the different towel arrangements were a lovely touch. Breakfast had a wide range of Thai and international dishes, with items made to order, and room service food was tasty with a good selection. The property is peaceful, clean, and well maintained, with a beautiful, intimate private beach, clear water, palm trees, a large shared pool, beach bar, gym, and spa area. Some parts have been beautifully renovated, and the team clearly keeps improving the hotel with care. It's an excellent location, a few minutes from Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. Great for couples and anyone wanting to relax. We've come back every year so far and will return whenever we can.

A really nice resort for a quiet, relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and great, and breakfast was good. The pools looked a little sad, as if they were having some kind of problem. I'd recommend renting a scooter.

This beautifully designed resort is about 10 minutes from Nathon pier, with inviting, warm rooms and great pools. It feels serene, with a beach and horizon view, and is less touristy and crowded than the island's east side. The free shuttle runs to and from the pier and Chaweng beach, where the clubs and restaurants are, which is handy since Grab is expensive on the island. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, with balconies, and some have direct pool access. Room service is punctual and the restaurant food is quite good. It works well for couples and families. Breakfast was the same every day, with few no-meat options, though lunch and dinner have enough vegetarian and no-meat choices. The beach bar closes at 6, and it would be nice if it stayed open a little later.
