Zara Beach Resort Koh Samui

Villa number 2 was really spacious and had a lovely sea view. Zara Beach Resort is right by the beach, with a massage salon around the corner and a big night market nearby for food. There’s also a bar with live music, plus beach bars and other places to go out within walking distance. The evenings were fun, and it was easy to relax or head out. The hotel manager was always available with advice and help arranging taxis or activities. I had a great, comfortable stay.

The people at Zara Beach Resort made this feel like a five-star stay, even though it’s officially a three-star resort. Alon, the owner, is warm, genuine and easy to talk to. He’s around often and clearly cares about guests being comfortable and happy. Elaine, the hotel manager, was outstanding too: professional, attentive and hardworking, and always making sure we had what we needed. She helped create a welcoming atmosphere where we felt at home. The resort is peaceful and beautiful, with a lovely Koh Samui feel. We had an amazing time, and it exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back, and I’d happily recommend it.

What stood out about Elaine was how naturally helpful she was. She remembered small details, checked in at the right times and was there whenever we needed something, without making any of it feel scripted. She made the whole stay feel relaxed and personal. Doob at reception was so kind and helped us with everything we needed. Five-star employee! We stayed two nights in villa 5. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and having a private pool was a nice extra. Just two small issues: the shower got warm but never properly hot, and the main AC was noisy. We didn’t need to use it, though, because the ceiling fans were enough.
