Blue Tao Beach Hotel

My partner and I had the best vacation, relaxing and enjoying it together. The rooms are well located and weren’t too noisy, even with entertainment right next door. Service was top-notch, with staff always available, smiling, and ready to help. Thanks to the team for a wonderful time. It was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend it!

We arranged a private snorkel boat through the hotel, and an amazing long boat captain took us to private spots. That was the highlight of our trip! The hotel is right in the middle of everything, with restaurants, shops, and dive shops all walkable, plus 7/11 nearby. We also went diving one day and enjoyed it. Our room had a net over the sand, which I highly recommend: it gave us easy beach access and a place to lie out without getting sandy. The staff were so friendly, and the restaurant was right next door, good enough that we ate dinner there twice and had the delicious complimentary breakfast every day. We could even walk there in our socks since shoes aren’t worn indoors. The food and drinks were great, and we loved the gorgeous sunsets from both the restaurant and our room. We stayed in February and loved this lovely hotel.

Blue Tao turned out to be a great choice for us in Koh Tao. We’d read that mattresses can be uncomfortable, hotels may not be up to a high standard, and many places are outside the center and need a motorbike. This hotel is very central, with what we thought was the island’s most beautiful view, beach, and sunset. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but the location and view made up for that completely. I’d definitely choose a sea-facing room, it makes a big difference and is worth it. There’s a free shuttle from the pier, snorkels to borrow, and they helped us arrange a taxi boat. A couple of things to know: the curtains don’t fully block morning light, and hot water is limited, though that seems common in Koh Tao. Laundry costs the same as outside places. Our clothes came back clean, though not in perfect condition, and having them delivered to the room was convenient. We visited in low season, when there weren’t many tourists. It could be noisier during peak season because it’s such a central spot. They even gave us earplugs in case we couldn’t sleep 😅, but we didn’t need them, it was quiet during our stay. We really enjoyed it and would recommend Blue Tao for the location, views, friendly service, and atmosphere.

Easy access to restaurants and dive shops, plus beautiful sunset views, makes the beachfront location one of Blue Tao Beach Hotel’s biggest strengths. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped, and we found it comfortable after days out on the island. Service was friendly and attentive, although responsiveness could improve a little during busy hours. It’s an excellent option for a comfortable, convenient beachside stay on Koh Tao.
