The location is about the only good thing I can say. There are much nicer places to stay. Five of our group of seven left early, and two friends found another place after the first night because their room had the worst mold. The rest of us looked too, but it was New Year and nothing was available. We'd paid in advance, so there was no refund. From check-in, the place felt unwelcoming. The reception area was dark and dingy, and around five staff stood watching while two others checked us in. No one had mentioned that payment had to be in cash. Many island ATMs were out of service after flooding, but staff wouldn't take our cards and weren't helpful about it. Reception also closed earlier than advertised. We booked partly for the swim-up pool bar, which has been permanently closed for some time. Pool hours were so limited that we never used it. The property felt outdated and almost like a ghost town, with little to make guests want to spend time there. There were signs everywhere telling people what not to do, including a 10 baht charge for bringing in an outside bottle. Maybe that wouldn't be an issue if the property's own cafe and bar were open. The rooms were disgusting. There was black mold in bathrooms, especially behind the door, and one friend's mold covered the ceiling and ran down beside the bed. The advertised balconies weren't usable because the air conditioning unit took up the whole space. Our balcony door didn't seal, leaving large gaps for mosquitoes to get in. The bathroom step in front of the toilet was badly designed, hard to see against the shower floor, and several of us fell off it. The room was dated, the signs were faded, and gaps around the door made it feel unsafe. The air conditioning barely worked.

Our room was spacious, cleaned every day, and really quiet, and the pools had crystal clear water. The stay was completely fine. I'd normally give it around four stars, but wanted to balance some of the really harsh reviews.

The sheets were stained and dirty when we entered the room, and the staff were unpleasant. After housekeeping came during our stay, we found some jewelry and clothes missing. We know they were taken because some items had been left on the table and others were inside our luggage. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, nowhere near worth the price. Any motel would be better. I really don't recommend it.

We stayed three nights, and it was fine, though I felt nervous after reading the other reviews. The location is great, and the internet was good. The bathroom smelled really bad, and the place feels a bit neglected, like it needs a good manager. Food was just about okay, and reception was okay too. The pool looked fine. It's a basic hotel, but I can't recommend it. Also, there's no lift, and we were on the fourth floor.
