River Front Krabi Hotel

We could walk along the river and find a local market nearby. The hotel was clean and quiet, and it suited a stay with my wife. Krabi pier and the bus terminal are close, while Ao Nang is around 25-30 minutes away. Breakfast was very basic.

The shower walls and tile grooves had obvious black mold, and I was nervous about touching them. The room was very dirty too, with heavy dust on the bedside lamps and mold on the cupboards. Even the instruction sheet was damp-damaged and moldy. Breakfast was disappointing, and my omelet had two or three pieces of steel wool in it, so I stopped eating there. Service was poor as well. When I called reception at 6pm for clean glasses because the bathroom ones were dirty, they said housekeeping had finished for the day. There was little courtesy when we arrived, not even a greeting. For a three-star hotel, I was very disappointed.

Our fourth-floor room looked out over the river and had a lovely view and a small balcony, but it was extremely noisy. Breakfast was decent, though nothing special, and the service was average at best. Then a cockroach showed up in our room at 11am, which made it hard to rate the place more highly. It felt overpriced for what we got.

We ended up walking out and losing our money because we couldn't stand the room. It was dusty and filthy, with a thick layer behind the TV and clear stains all over the sofa. Even basic things like toothbrushes weren't provided, and the whole place felt below standard for the price. When we spoke to the manager, he was rude, unresponsive, and showed no interest in helping. He first mentioned changing our room, but after seeing the problems himself, called them “normal” and “just a little bit of defects.” Then he refused to do anything, saying every room was the same. No room change, refund, or compensation was offered. The owner even had the nerve to say all the bad reviews were fake. 🤢 It was a disgusting experience, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. Hygiene and basic respect for guests were clearly missing.
