The 9th House - Hostel

The hosts were attentive and gave us really useful recommendations. The place was spotless and looked just like the photos. There’s no breakfast, but the coffee machine, kettle, and teas in the lobby worked perfectly for us. It’s well placed near a pier for Railay beach and Krabi Town markets. We had a really nice stay and would consider coming back to Krabi Town. The one issue was no bathroom ventilation. One night, a bad smell from the dry drain reached our room. Opening the taps for a bit is an easy fix, and it only happened once. We’ve had this in most hotels in the area, even 4-star ones.

The 9th House is right in the middle of things, with the post office, 7eleven, local market, and night market all easy to reach. The owner was so kind and helpful. At check-in she took time to show us nearby attractions on a map, suggested night markets and a massage parlour, and helped arrange our airport transfer. They even shared some local fruit when we got back at night, and she offered good coffee and local breakfast treats. The rooms and whole property were spotless. The stay was very budget-friendly for the comfort and quality. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.
