Rangsit Apartment I

I stayed in apartment block number 2, while number 1 is just around the corner. The apartments are clean and tidy, with air conditioning, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The area is well located, with shops and markets close by. Apartments are serviced, but they could check more carefully that clean towels and toilet paper are there. In the room there's a kettle, cups, some cutlery, a small fridge, and a TV. There are few or no plates if you bring food back, though, and the TV is mostly Thai channels, with the occasional movie in English. I don't know whether there's cable or satellite. It is a little pricey.

The good points are the fresh market and large mall nearby, plenty of taxis, and good housekeeping and security. But things move very slowly here. I waited months after moving in and still never got a signed rental agreement. In my experience, the technician handling electrical work is so busy that even replacing one bulb can take 2-3 weeks. As of Jan 2021, the internet was awful and unstable. There were only 5mbps and 10mbps plans, costing 350THB or 500THB, and no high-speed option. If you depend on working from home, I wouldn't choose this apartment. It's more suitable for a temporary stay, and I especially wouldn't recommend it to families with kids.

It's clean, though a bit overpriced.
