Rabbit Hostel

There’s plenty of parking, and the Saturday night market is close by, fun to walk around and eat at. Check-in and getting the key wasn’t easy, but if you call the number someone will come. The first room smelled a bit, so they moved us to a room on the second floor, which was okay. It was clean and big, and fine for the price, though the pillows are quite hard.

Good value for the money, with a clean, comfortable, spacious room. It’s close to everything, with the night market just a 2 minute walk away and 711 right across the road. Five stars from me.

The location is really convenient, and otherwise it’s a nice, modern hotel with good value and very clean rooms. But I have mixed feelings because of the bathroom cleaning. I stayed twice in 4 months and found the same wipe marks and spider webs both times, while by the second stay the ceiling was covered in mould. It was bad enough that I coughed and sneezed and my eyes hurt whenever I went into the room, even though I’m not allergic to anything. We had to change rooms the next day, only to find a similar, though less severe, problem in the new one. That was even more puzzling since it was at an easy cleaning height, when I’d assumed they just weren’t cleaning above reach. The cleaning overall was lacking, with the same hairs on the bathroom floor every day. It’s a shame, and it felt quite rude that they made me change rooms without even checking whether the next one had the same issue. I’d like to stay again, but I’ll ask for proof of cleaning. If they fix this, it’s easily the best hotel in Lom Sak.

It’s a hostel, not a hotel. I couldn’t find a lobby or office, but I happened to meet a woman carrying a bucket of towels. When I told her I had a booking, she pulled out a bunch of keys and gave me the one for my room. The room and bathroom were clean and big enough. They changed the towels every day and replenished the water. The location is very good, near the market and the night market held every night in the police station yard.
