The Grand Morocc Hotel

The pool is a nice place to unwind, and the atmosphere feels peaceful and cozy. I was impressed by the beautiful Moroccan-style decor at The Grand Morocc Hotel in Mae Rim, and the rooms are spacious and distinctive, which made the stay feel special. It's good value for the price. If you want somewhere stylish but affordable, it's worth considering.

We ended up staying three nights and brought our daughter along for the last two, in the two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite. We first had a single bedroom for one night, then moved to the larger room, and both were wonderful. Breakfast had three hot dish options, plus hot chocolate, tea, several kinds of coffee, cereal, yoghurt, bread, fruit, and juice. We also ate dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed every bite: Stir-Fried Morning Glory, Stir-Fried Chinese Kale with Oyster Sauce, Stir-Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Soup with Tofu, Pork & Seaweed, and Boiled Rice, followed by Macaroons, Thai tea, and Earl Gray Tea. The hotel is Moroccan style and has a restaurant. Its fittings are high quality and beautifully installed, and we felt happy and warm wandering around. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. There's a stunning courtyard swimming pool, too. We found Tiger Kingdom and a cute craft shop with a cafe within walking distance. There are also nearby elephant experiences, botanical gardens, and flower fields with photoshoot props, but we didn't have time for those. We'd booked just one night at first to see the place before committing to more, since we'd had to cancel another hotel that same day over false representation. This was a last-minute booking, and a wonderful choice for us. We highly recommend staying here. As in much of Thailand, it's easy to call a Grab or Bolt to get to activities.

The rooms are pretty, and I loved the outfit room where we could try on lots of clothes for photos, with sizes for both men and women. The place is a long way from the main road, though, so it's best to check in before dark.

The room was nice and the service was good. It's a little far from the city.
