At Rice Resort

The resort has lovely grounds and real potential, but the room felt quite run down even though the entrance gives a five-star impression. We stayed Thursday and Friday nights. Friday’s breakfast was terrible, with only a few items, while Saturday’s was much better. The price was the same, which didn’t feel fair. The welcome drink token only covered alcohol, not coffee. On Saturday morning the restaurant kept playing the same song again and again until it drove me mad. Management needs to pay attention to those smaller details.

The bedrooms were pleasant, nicely decorated, and laid out well for five people. We booked a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit at this fairly new Nakhon Nayok resort, which has a good atmosphere and decor. Staff were polite. The bathroom was awkward to use, with the shower and toilet split up impractically, an open sink area, and a bad smell coming from the pipes. There was nowhere to hang clothes in the shower space, so we had to put them in the toilet area. Breakfast was standard and enough for a typical meal, though the selection wasn’t broad or varied.

We couldn’t sleep at all because people were allowed to sing and play music loudly through the night. It was a horrible night. If you’re after some peace, I really wouldn’t book this hotel.

The bathroom needs another wall and a door to give it more privacy. The receptionist was lovely, though, and gave great service. I was very satisfied.
