I was only looking for somewhere to sleep after an unplanned overnight stay, since there was no return bus to Bangkok after 4pm. The place turned out nicer and cleaner than I expected from the Agoda photos. It had hot water, TV, aircon and a fridge, all the basics a good room needs. The price was very cheap, so there’s not much more you could ask for. Finding it takes a little effort: there’s no English sign saying E2S Place, though the map pin is right. Ask people nearby to point out the right house. It’s on the Marin road and easy enough to find by following the map. Keep in mind it’s pretty far from food and nightlife, maybe 10-15km. You can also rent a room monthly, at a cheap rate. I saw 2700-3000B/month posted.

The bedding was old, dirty and smelled awful, and I couldn’t sleep that night. I got a ground-floor room with no windows, and the whole place was incredibly dirty, the dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in. The floor was sticky enough that I couldn’t walk around without shoes. Even one star feels like too much. You absolutely shouldn’t stay here.

For less than 500 baht during a holiday, it felt like good value if you just need somewhere to sleep and don’t care about the view. There are a few restaurants nearby and a 7-Eleven across a four-lane road. It’s better to get groceries beforehand so you don’t have to drive far. The rooms are in a two-story building converted for rentals, close to the main road. The outside looks a bit old, dark and dusty, but inside was surprisingly clean. The spring mattresses weren’t too soft, and there was room for four people to sleep comfortably. We had clean blankets, two pillows, two large towels and two small ones, plus a small packet of fragrant tissues. The bathroom was clean and had a water heater, soap and shampoo. The A/C worked well. There’s a mini-fridge, small TV, free Wi-Fi that worked well, and a door lock with keypad. You use a card to switch on the lights. The main drawbacks were noise and parking. The wooden room dividers don’t block much sound, so you can hear rain or the neighbors. There are about three parking spaces in front, with cars needing to double park. A large vehicle inside can make it hard to get in or out, and in the morning there may be no staff at the counter to help move a car. Leave room for other cars. Parking farther away can block the restaurant view, or you may need to park in the bushes by the pavilion near the accommodation.

The caretaker was kind, the water pressure was strong, and the air conditioning got nice and cold. Wi-Fi was available, and the TV had all channels. The room was okay, and food was easy to find with a restaurant right out front serving made-to-order dishes. I recommend the auntie next door’s Pad Thai, it’s delicious and the portions are huge.
