Garry was a wonderful host. He arranged our rides to and from Chiang Mai, helped us rent a motorbike in Pai, and took time out of his busy day to show us around and share his favorite spots. We fell in love with the place and would love to come next year for a much longer stay. The room was tastefully decorated, like the rest of the property, and had what we needed, including a mini fridge, kitchen sink, and a balcony with a stunning view of rice fields and mountains. Hot water in the shower comes and goes. The common area is set up to make it easy to settle into a meditative, restorative mood. Guests can use the kitchen, cookware, stove, washer, sauna, and other things there. The property has been fully renovated and under new management since November 2023, so information from reviews before then, positive or negative, no longer applies. As for the peace and comfort you feel as soon as you enter, that's hard to put into words. Highly recommend it.

For a quiet, magical stay in the Pai area, visit Ban Dalah in Pai. It's about 10 minutes out of town, where mornings start with frogs and birds and you can have tea or coffee while watching the sun rise over Pai Valley. Spend the afternoon by the pool, moving between the pool and sauna to relax, taking in the ever-changing Zen Garden and watching nature at work. It felt like a moment of calm in my world. There is something surreal about Ban Dalah. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a high ceiling and a sliding insect door that let in the mountain air all night. A beautiful white temple is on the next corner. Garry was a great host. The property's surrounded by mountains, water in constant motion, mist, and the changing light of sunrises and sunsets. The water features and their sounds, as well as the Zen garden, were amazing. Walking around the perimeter felt like an experience in itself. Each day drew me in more, and leaving was sad. Ban Dalah is on my radar for a return in 2024, to explore kundalini yoga further. It's hard to describe its beauty or the powerful energy there.

The bungalow had a stunning view over the rice fields, and the room was clean and nice. The staff were very friendly, and it's pet friendly too, which is a huge plus. I'll come back on my next visit to Pai.
