The location near the main bazaar was the one thing that really worked for us, but the price wasn't justified. We paid for a king-size room and got something very basic, with hardly anywhere to charge devices, no hooks for anything, and too little room for our things. Aside from the nice decor downstairs, I wouldn't call this place boutique. The view was nice, though. The staff were lovely, but couldn't speak English, which surprised me in such a touristy village and at a hotel serving tourists. They didn't understand what we said, so there was nobody to talk to when we needed basic help, like ordering a taxi. We had to leave for the airport at 8:00 on our last morning. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7:30, so we thought we'd have time to eat. At 7:28, there was nothing ready, not even coffee or cutlery, and there still wasn't anything at 7:30. When we politely asked for coffee, the woman just pointed to the sign with the breakfast time. Once she did make coffee, she used a pot of old coffee from the day before and brewed a fresh filter into it. It was cold and gross.

The staff were friendly, and the location is handy, just around the corner from Walking Street. We stayed two nights recently, but the nightly rate left me disappointed. It felt far too expensive for what they provide.

For the money, I couldn't give it more than three stars. It was £48.50 / 2110 tbh a night, which felt overpriced even for remote Pai. Housekeeping needs a shake-up, and staff being on their phones constantly when guests are around makes a very poor impression. See photos for some room issues.

Our upstairs suite was amazing, clean and beautiful, with an amazing view. The location is perfect too, right by Pai's night market and the best restaurants.

For a three-star hotel, the value is exceptional, especially with the night market just a one-minute walk away. Our room was spacious, with a well-appointed bathroom, and everything was spotless. They cleaned the room daily. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the omelet.
