I slept well despite the central location, since the room noise insulation worked effectively. C&N Hotel sits at the end of an alley, away from some of the main street noise, and Bangla Road is an easy walk away. The reception is spacious, and staff check IDs, which adds a bit of security. Rooms have plenty of space and optional blue mood lighting. The bathrooms are also fairly large, though a little dated. The property is generally clean and tidy, and staff respond promptly to repair and maintenance requests. A clean, comfortable place in a convenient spot with thoughtful amenities.

We paid full price upfront for three nights, and the location was great. We arrived late in Phuket from Koh Sumai without a booking, asked at a couple of hotels, and eventually ended up at C&N hotels. We didn’t expect the cottages to be as bad as they were. After going out, we came back tired and ready to sleep, but there were lizards all over the room and the toilet didn’t work. One lizard fell from the ceiling onto the bed. We couldn’t sleep, and there was no night staff, so we waited until 10 a.m. for the receptionist. Sleep deprived and grossed out, we asked to change rooms, but the next one had the same problem. We asked for a refund. The receptionist, Kwan, said it wasn’t her problem and we should deal with it. A bellboy heard us and got us a different, upgraded room, but we were charged extra. After the previous night, we felt we had no choice. Kwan treated us very badly and didn’t inspect the room herself, instead sending someone else to look. They agreed it was a serious issue. She told them in Thai that Indian people always make a fuss like this and didn’t deserve to stay there. What did we do wrong? If not wanting lizards in our room after paying good money is a crime, then we’re guilty. Travelers, please be aware. I believe Kwan is racially biased and isn’t fit to work in a hotel. Proceed with caution.

The front desk staff were pleasant when we checked the hotel out the day before our stay. Once we arrived to check in, though, they were the complete opposite, unfriendly and short with us when we asked questions, to the point of being rude. It felt like they had our money and no longer cared. We asked for extra pillows and were told it would cost 200 baht per pillow, per day. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that charged for a couple of extra pillows. Service was very poor. Luckily, we were only there for two days. Never again.

There’s a terrace with a table and chairs, and the bathroom is large with a bathtub. The shower was tricky, with hot, very hot, or cold water. Staff are kind, the rooms are good, though quite dim at night. There’s a laundry option and a luggage room, plus massage downstairs. My view wasn’t great, but I could make out the mountains and sea. The location is good, though it’s very loud outside and okay inside. You can ask reception for an umbrella when it rains or a laundry basket to take to your room.

A good budget option in central Patang Beach marker area, near Bangla street. The beach, street food market, pubs, and bars are all walkable, but it’s peaceful enough to get a good night’s sleep.
