Forty Winks Phuket

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the pool and location were both fine, with everything nearby. The room was small and could've been cleaner. We found hairs in the room and bathroom. There was a kettle but no tea, coffee, or cups, and the TV signal made for a poor picture. The shower had no screen, so water got everywhere, including on the toilet roll and in the paper bin. Breakfast was below average, with a limited selection. It's reasonably priced and probably works for a night or two while exploring Phuket, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay.

The location is great, and the staff were genuinely polite, but the room made the stay a letdown. It was extremely small and not clean. There were strands of hair all over the floor when we checked in, and the bed was so hard we couldn't get comfortable or sleep well. Construction right next door started very early, so there was no chance to sleep in or enjoy a peaceful stay. We'd booked five nights, but left after the second. I wouldn't stay again unless cleanliness and comfort improve significantly.

The staff were very kind, and everyone could find something they liked at breakfast. The pool was nice and clean, though its water felt a little cooler than the sea. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel, while the beach is a bit farther away. If you're comfortable riding a scooter, you can get there that way. This was a very good hotel, a hundred times better than where we stayed last year.

Good hotel, good staff, good service, and a good location. They don't provide an iron for the rooms, though. Instead, they asked us to use the laundry service, which needs at least 24 hours. We only needed an iron for ten minutes, not to leave our clothes for a full day to be washed and ironed.
