The downsides were a slightly dirty, small room, especially the bathroom, and bar music next door that carried on until very early morning. I asked for a kettle and was told they didn’t have one and that I should use the hot water downstairs. When that hot water stopped working, they finally gave me a kettle. On the plus side, it’s a five minute walk to bazaan market and the mall. The balcony had a great city view, and the pool was clean and quiet.

We left the massage place by reception feeling cheated and unhappy. The massages weren’t good either. We paid for three foot massages, expecting the 250 baht price shown on the sign outside, but they charged us 900 baht, 150 more than that price. They said the actual price was on a counter inside the hotel, where it wasn’t easily visible, and claimed the outdoor sign was old. We argued with them before leaving. I don’t know the hotel itself, but the massage center at reception was a bad experience. One hour was booked for the massage, and 30 minutes of it felt wasted.

There are lots of bars, massage places, and restaurants nearby, and it’s close to Banzaan, Jung Ceylon, Bangla St and other local attractions. The room was spacious and very clean, and the rooftop pool was lovely. It’s hard to find a budget hotel with a pool this nice at such a good price. Highly recommended.

The room was clean, but music from the nearby restaurant kept it noisy at night, going on until 7 in the morning.
