Sleep Inn Phuket

Being close to the beach, shops, and all the action was just what I needed. I had a wonderful time, and the staff were so friendly and kind to me.

The location was excellent, right beside the beach and banglaroad, and it was so convenient to go to the beach without taking much with us. The room had a seaside view, was big and nice, and suited a couple. A few things needed fixing, but they sorted them after we asked. The bed didn’t feel very clean. The stay had good value for the location, but the experience was somewhat unpleasant. Service was poor: we had to request room service, and reception was only open from 12 to 24. The staff seemed busy running the restaurant and didn’t seem to have a routine for hotel guests. It also wasn’t clear what was included in the stay. We seemed to have to ask for everything, which was unpleasant. A sign explaining the rules and what’s included would help.

With the beach right outside and an affordable row of restaurants and massage parlors in the nearby laneway, this is a great spot to stay. The hostel is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lounge is a great place to sit, watch television, or relax, but there’s no outdoor area for guests to gather.

For five nights I couldn’t watch TV programmes, and when I complained, they weren’t going to do anything about it. The WiFi signal was very, very bad, and the balcony door lock was broken. I was lucky to be traveling alone. The Thai staff were friendly, but I paid 9,000 baths for those five nights. For such a poor standard, I consider that overpriced.
