1-bed in View Talay 5D - Sleeps 2 - Close to Beach

Location is a real plus: the baht bus route runs right in front of the condo. But I wouldn’t recommend renting on the Jomtien side, especially in high season, when bars on walking street can be noisy. Even with the balcony doors closed, you may hear them some nights. There’s no soundproofing, which is common in Pattaya condos. Bugs and ants sometimes show up in rooms. Elevators can get very crowded in high season, though the security guards do a lot to help people get to them. It’s ridiculous that buildings with 300-500 condos get approved with only 2-3 elevators. From 15 February to 15 November, maintenance has no restrictions in some condos, and if it’s happening nearby, there can be a lot of noise.

I’ve stayed in View Talay 1, 2 and 7 for shorter and longer stretches over the past 22 years. View Talay 7 is still my favorite, but 5D has a great location and still feels fresh. Songthaews pass right outside, so getting around is easy.

A really nice condo very close to the beach. The view is lovely from the highest floors.

The pool has been upgraded this year, and the location is lovely, close to the beach with a private entrance.
