Jomtien Beach is nearby, and the location is good, though it’s a bit more expensive than other hotels and motels on the same road. It’s still decent for the location, but the service was bad. The caretaker was rude when we asked for an extra cup, and hesitated before replying rudely. We were also refused laundry service even though we asked the price and were ready to pay. At checkout, the caretaker behaved very badly and wouldn’t even let me finish my bread before coming down. No toiletries were provided. I won’t recommend it or ever go back.

Soi Welcome is aptly named. A few metres from the beach, this restaurant is good value for money. The Thai food is great, with a sea view, and there’s a decent international menu as well. Friendly and clean.

It’s in the Jamtien area, which isn’t very crowded, so it suits people who prefer a quieter setting. At night, all the shops stay open until midnight. The hotel is okay.

The barbers are young, friendly, and professional, and the prices are very fair. You may need to book sometimes or wait a little, and tipping is a must ^^
