Bella Vista

Good value for the money. It’s a bit dated, but the rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are fresh every day. It wasn’t too busy.

After just one night in the upgraded room, I found bed bugs. I told the manager, who was dismissive and only offered to have someone spray the bed and mattress. I found that completely unacceptable. Earlier, on arrival at Eastiny Bella Vista Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, the room was much smaller than the photos suggested and had a strong, unpleasant smell. I asked to change rooms but was told they were all the same. I paid an extra $100 for an upgrade, which was a little bigger but still smelled bad. When I asked for a refund so I could stay somewhere else, staff refused. I also asked for a refund or a transfer to an affiliated hotel, and they refused again. In the end, I paid to book another hotel just to get out. It was a terrible stay, and I’d never come back or recommend this hotel to anyone.

At 1,000 baht, the room is a good deal and fairly spacious. The hotel sits around the middle of an alley near the start of Pattaya beach, so you can walk either to the beach or toward the city. Just be aware that nearby bars play music and sing until about 3:30-4am. If you need a quiet night's sleep, this probably won't suit you.

I booked a room at 4am, and the staff handled it politely and helpfully. The room was clean and decent, and I got a lovely quiet morning's sleep. My sister was happy with it too. The location is good and the nearby beach is easy to visit. I have no complaints and would absolutely recommend staying here for the staff and location.
