D Apartment 1

I’ve come here from Norway many times, staying in the old apartment. It’s a good place in Pattaya, though prices can get too high. At the usual 12 14000 bath range, it’s the best place to stay.

A peaceful little hotel just off Soi Buakhao. They’ll clean the rooms daily if you ask the staff. There’s a small rooftop pool, and reception supplies separate pool towels.

The room at the back was quiet, and the balcony was a nice extra. I slept well in the big, comfortable bed, with fresh linen each day. The place is a little dated, but that didn’t bother me. Housekeeping did a brilliant job keeping the room clean, and the pool was spotless with plenty of loungers. Reception were friendly and helpful whenever I needed them. The location worked perfectly for me. I’d happily stay here again.

This is the third year in a row I’ve had to call someone to wash the air conditioner in my room at D-Apartment. Mine was terribly dirty. The technician said it was exceptionally filthy and hadn’t been cleaned for 6 - 7 months, though I suspect it had been much longer. I also think he may have understated it to avoid making the hotel look bad. The receptionist kept insisting that a technician cleans or washes every AC in every room every three months. She wouldn’t reimburse what I paid to have mine properly washed with detergent. The technician told me the hotel only pays for a water wash, not detergent. In other places I stay in Pattaya, I always have the AC washed, but at D-Apartment they keep lying about how they maintain theirs. I suspect the receptionist thinks cleaning the external filters, which the maids can do, is enough to fool guests.
