Gigi, Kim, and Nan made this stay memorable. They were warm, professional, and efficient, and from arrival they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I even got a complimentary room upgrade, a lovely surprise that showed how much they cared. They're a real asset to the hotel, and a big reason I'll return. The Tropicana Hotel Pattaya is in a quiet area, a short walk from the beach and close to everything in Pattaya. The tropical garden is relaxing, and there are two pools to cool off in. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to start the day comfortably. I had a peaceful, comfortable stay and highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool access rooms were great, and Gigi and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They even left a special birthday surprise for me.

The buffet breakfast had lots of choices and was very good, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and clean, the AC and Wi-Fi worked great, and despite being next to the red-light district it was extremely quiet. Still, the place is showing its age. There was mildew on the ceilings, peeling paint, a saggy mattress, and stained linens. My ground-floor room had an old wooden patio door that took a team of horses to open and close. The main door looked patched after being kicked in, and when shut you could see into the hallway between the door and latch. This was just one room, so it may not reflect the whole hotel. The resort takes up a city block but has only one entrance, on the opposite side from the attractions and amenities. Since it's a full block to walk just to get out, that could mean extra walking for anyone with mobility issues. Soi 6 is next door, Terminal 21 is about a 15-minute walk, and restaurants, massage shops, bars, shopping, and the beach across the street are all nearby. The location is pretty good, even with the awkward entrance. I probably wouldn't stay again, though the resort could be relaxing if you mainly want to lounge by the pool away from the hustle and bustle.

This was my third visit to Tropicana Hotel Pattaya, and I always enjoy staying here. Kim and Ying deserve special thanks for being professional, friendly, and making sure everything was just right. Their warm smiles are a great example of the hotel's service. I've come away with good memories each time and will definitely be back for visit number four soon. Highly recommended.

The one small plus was the slight difference in rank. Check-in was listed for 2 PM, but the room wasn't available until 3. There were loads of mosquitoes, and quarantine and hygiene didn't seem to be maintained. The guns were all old, and there wasn't even an air conditioner remote, among other issues.
