The front desk and restaurant staff were excellent. I was in room 210. The room was cleaned daily, and it had good WiFi, a TV that did its job, a cold fridge, toiletries, and two fresh bottles of water each day. The bed was okay, though there was no soap. There are three car spaces in front of the hotel, plus room for scooters. A few problems stood out. The room was very dark, with just four dim uplighting lamps. With the curtains open, people at Big C could see inside, so I had to keep them shut. I couldn't use the safe because it was too dark to see, and its instructions were in Thai. The AC was noisy but worked, and the shower head attachment was broken. They provide a kettle, mugs, and water, but no tea, coffee, or whitener. Also, using the kettle means unplugging the WiFi. There's a loud music bar across the road, about 20 metres away, open until late. Bring a torch if you can, I was lucky to have one in my bag. I'd probably stay again, but in a different room.

The people were very friendly, and I thought the hotel was quite good for a couple of days. The room was large and clean, and breakfast was good. It's close to Big C, though wedged between two roads. The bed was too hard for me, the lighting could be better, and a few things need maintenance, including a loose socket and light switch. I don't know why the hotel has been getting low reviews for a few days.

That little dishwashing sink and the kettle for hot water were handy, and there was enough space in the twin room. It’s simply decorated, with a laminated wood floor that made the room feel warm. Clean, helpful staff, a nice place overall, with nothing excessive and nothing missing.

The location is good and the staff were nice, but I left after three hours and found another hotel. The room smelled bad and the bed was hard. There’s no parking, so you have to try to find a space on the street, and the Wi-Fi only works in the lobby. The pool was closed and the fitness area was a mess. This old hotel needs updating. I wouldn’t recommend it. It was no dream.

I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels while touring Thailand on two motorbikes over the past 18 months, and the service here was second to none. Several staff spoke English and went out of their way to help us. Breakfast was great too. I couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff, they were just awesome. Sorry, the only other photo I have is a selfie of me smoking a durry out the front!
