Mirage Express Patong Phuket Hotel

The walls are thin, so the rooms can get noisy. Still, it’s clean and pleasant, and we felt comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, the rooftop pool was great, and the service was really friendly. Right in the heart of Patong, too. I’d happily recommend it. My regards to the whole team! ♥️

On January 28, I arrived at Mirage Express Patong for my booking, but the property said it was full and refused to honor my confirmed reservation. The hotel offered no alternative, so I was left stranded overnight. The service guaranteed by my booking wasn’t provided.

I suggested this hotel to my friends, and that turned out to be a mistake. They booked one room for two people for two days. One friend checked in the first day, and the other arrived the next day; both were staying in that same room. There were two towels at first. When housekeeping cleaned the room the next day, they took both to replace them but brought back just one. Staff said the missing towel would be provided that evening, but it never showed up. Then at checkout, the hotel accused my friend of losing a towel and charged him for it. He refused to pay for something we hadn’t taken, and management threatened to call the police if he didn’t. That was unfair and extremely unprofessional. I won’t recommend this hotel again.

I’ve stayed here before and always liked it, but this time I cancelled and booked somewhere else because of one staff member’s attitude. When I tried to explain that the app showed early check-in was available from 11:00 AM, he got upset, raised his voice, and demanded respect. I arrived around 11:30 AM and reception kept saying check-in was only allowed at 2:00 PM, asking what the point would be if everyone came early. His coworkers explained things clearly while he stayed upset and walked around. He took the matter personally instead of trying to help. Thanks, but I won’t be staying here again.
