Thanthip Beach Resort

We had to book Thanthip Hotel Patong at the last minute after another hotel let us down, and it turned out so well. The hotel was peaceful and beautifully maintained, just what we needed after a stressful travel day. It’s about a two-minute walk from Patong Beach, central and close to everything, yet surprisingly quiet at night. There’s also a handy little coffee shop on site. Staff were kind and welcoming from the start. Our twin room wasn’t available, so they gave us a free upgrade to one facing the pool. Opening the patio doors and relaxing outside on the chairs was such a lovely surprise. After checkout, I realised I’d left something behind and had already gone to Chiang Mai. The reservation manager, Samonphat Sae-ngo, was incredibly kind and arranged personally to have it sent to me there. I was so grateful for that care. We couldn’t have asked for a better last-minute stay. Thank you to the team for turning a bad situation into a great experience. I’d recommend the hotel and would happily stay again.

The location makes it easy to get to Patong beach and everything else, while still being sheltered from the main street’s traffic and noise. The restaurant serves tasty Thai and international dishes at reasonable prices, and the pool is huge. The hotel also provides towels for the beach or pool. Our room had a big balcony with two chairs and a coffee table, plus modern furniture and a large, modern bathroom. It was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh. The staff were polite, friendly, and competent, always welcoming guests with a smile and doing their best to meet requests.

I’m incredibly grateful to the management team. I left my bag at reception, and after just one call they got it to the airport right away in the hotel car. It arrived in time, so I didn’t miss my flight. The location is perfect, with local food, cafes, and restaurants nearby. I’ll always remember their kind help.

The smell in the room was unpleasant. I told housekeeping, but they only sprayed rose air freshener, which made it worse. Aside from that, the location, pool, bed comfort, air conditioning, and peace and quiet were all great.
