Napa Hostel Samrong Station

The room itself and the shared bathroom were clean and well maintained. Everything looked tidy, basic amenities were provided, and they gave us complimentary drinking water during my stay, a nice little gesture. The location is practical for travelers, close to the BTS station, convenience stores, and small shops, all just a few minutes' walk away. I booked Napa Hostel Samrong Station after seeing many positive online reviews and liking the convenient location. My experience with the room assignment was disappointing. I'm a transgender woman, and I specifically reserved a bed in an all-female room, but when I arrived, I was assigned to an all-male room. That made me feel very uncomfortable and let down. Thailand is known as a diverse and accepting country, especially for LGBTQ people, so I hadn't expected this. I don't know whether the hostel was following an internal policy or whether there was a booking misunderstanding, but as a guest, I felt my preference and identity weren't respected. I'd suggest LGBTQ travelers, especially transgender guests, clarify the room policy before booking. If having a room that matches your gender identity matters for your comfort and safety, it may be better to confirm that with the hostel in advance. The hostel has a good location and is clean, but the room assignment left me disappointed. I hope management improves its communication or policies so all guests, including LGBTQ travelers, can feel comfortable and respected.
