The grounds are spacious, green and well kept, with plenty of room for walks and relaxing. There are several pools, restaurants and direct access to a wide sandy beach. It's a large complex right by the sea, and the location is great. My room was comfortable, though some parts of the property feel dated and could use renovation. Breakfast has a good range, especially for a hotel this size, and the staff were polite and helpful. A good choice for a restful beach break, particularly for families or anyone who values space, pools and being close to the ocean.

The price was very high for Thailand, and the stay was a mess. Check-in took around 25-30 minutes per person, with people waiting in line getting seriously agitated. It seemed like they were short-staffed and had poor procedures. There was no hot water in our room, and that never got fixed. In the middle of the night, water came through the bathroom ceiling. Another guest, a nice young couple who had waited an hour to check in, later showed us pictures of rusty bath water. Our bathtub had a footprint in it. The staff seem to be struggling to keep the hotel's former glory going, while management and owners seem to have abandoned it. That's sad, because you can still sense what it could have been. A real shame. Avoid this hotel. The owners seem to have given up on it and the staff, so you should too.

Worst hotel ever. The room smelled bad and was really dirty, with no soap or anything provided. There was no A/C when we entered, and the service was poor and very slow, with hardly anyone around. Wouldn't recommend coming here. :(

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! Hello, I'm going to share everything I know. This place was an American soldiers' base back in the 80s, and at that time it was an amazing hotel with a huge area. There was no reconstruction for around 30 years. Just look at the map in the photo I pinned to see how huge it is: it used to have five wings, and one of them had over 4000 rooms. Now four wings are “under reconstruction,” though they just don't have the money to look after them. This whole project is among the top 10 biggest hotels in the world. It's so hard to look after a place that big, but they just didn't care. It got worse every day, older and dustier, until 2019 and Covid. The owners unfortunately passed away, and the hotel didn't even have an owner anymore. It still doesn't. It's like a dead-alive hotel, with no one looking after the whole thing. It just lives by itself?! 😭 There's no English-speaking staff, the food is barely edible, and there's no room service. Since they're broke, they switch off all the lights in the building at night just to save money. It's just... like it's under a curse or something. Never come to this hotel. Stay away from it.

The hotel is very beautiful, and the beach has very clean, clear water. A must-visit place to stay.
