Orchid Surin Hotel

My complaint is about the front desk lady’s manners, not the room. She seemed to struggle to smile, called my room 20 minutes before checkout, then sent a cleaner to my door a few minutes before checkout to make sure I left right at noon. It felt very unprofessional and disturbing, and I didn’t welcome that attitude. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels across more than twenty countries and this kind of treatment is extremely rare.

A well-run hotel for the price, with a large, bright, clean room and the essentials provided. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the rate was very reasonable for the quality. It makes an ideal base for visiting Surin.

A pleasant apart-hotel residence, with friendly staff and large, spotless rooms. It’s roughly midway between Robinson and the city center, and I’d definitely recommend it for a short stay.

I slept very well, and I liked having a smart TV so I could watch YouTube. The bed was hard, though, and the smell in the room hits you as soon as you walk in, even if you get used to it. Orchid Surin Hotel would have deserved five stars for the price if it weren’t for these little things. The elevator stops between floors, so forget this place if you need a wheelchair.
