I checked into the Fortune D Hotel in Maesod this evening, and the room's hygiene was unacceptable. There was dust under the beds, white stains inside the refrigerator, and the water bottles looked very dirty. The trash can was moldy. I don't usually complain about hotel rooms, but this one needs a deep clean before guests arrive.

After four stays over four years, I'm done with this place. The walk-in rate is 1,000 baht now, up from 700 and then 800, while the condition has kept getting worse and dirtier. The elevator and dining tables were filthy, and the room and bathroom weren't clean either. There were no coat hangers or toaster for the bread, and breakfast was the usual cold sausages and ham with half-cooked eggs. Never again.

My friend and I wanted to share a room, so we booked a double room and paid an extra 500 baht for the other one. At night I asked the front desk for an extra pillow, but they said they couldn't provide one and told us we'd have to open another room. We had to complain a lot just to get a pillow. The service was very poor, and I won't stay here again.

I only stayed for a couple of hours while waiting for a car change on my way to Bangkok. The hotel seemed quite new, with good-quality accommodation and an ideal location. It struck me as one of the best places in town, in Tak Mae Sot.

The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were cozy. The location was great, with a Seven-Eleven right beside the hotel and a huge international shipping center across the road. The price was reasonable, and I was satisfied with my stay.
