I found a place that fit my budget and felt comfortable here in both low and high season. The gym isn't very big, but it's got all the equipment, and the two pools are plenty for a morning swim. For me the location was perfect, central and near the university, with a big park to walk through. I don't usually write many reviews, but the staff deserve a mention. They're more than helpful and really take care of you.
We really liked this condo, and I can't understand all the negative reviews. We stayed in block A from late November to early January, when the place was busy, but our apartment stayed quiet. A noisy group of neighbors showed up for a couple of days. I reported the night noise to reception, and they dealt with it. The reception staff were lovely and always willing to help. There are two pools and a small gym. The downside at that busy time was the limited number of loungers, which were often all taken. The large enclosed parking area always had room for our two bikes. Block A has two vending machines with food and drinks. The university is nearby, with a park to walk in. The nearest 7/11 is an eight-minute walk or a one-minute ride by bike, and there's a laundry place two minutes away. You can also have parcels delivered with payment, and they'll leave them at reception, which was very convenient. Rent was $ 550 plus a $ 300 deposit. Electricity for our two months was 4100 THB, with the air conditioner on all the time. Cleaning cost 500THB, and we booked it every two weeks. The apartment had everything except a clothes dryer, so we ordered a basic one on Lazada.
The room was crawling with red bugs. Within hours of checking in, my girlfriend and I were covered in bites, and it ruined our trip. The infestation seemed so bad that we threw away all our clothes because they were crawling with pests. Replacing a whole wardrobe is expensive and frustrating, and we're still worried about whether we've fully avoided bringing the bugs home. They're notoriously hard to get rid of. The staff didn't seem to care. There was no apology or help, only a shrug and useless excuses. The hygiene here felt nonexistent, and it seemed clear they weren't interested in keeping a clean, livable place for guests. This was the most disgusting and traumatic hotel stay I've ever had. Avoid it unless you want to spend your vacation scratching yourself raw, throwing away your belongings, and dealing with the aftermath of a bug-infested room. Shameful, disgusting, and completely unacceptable.
The Wi-Fi barely worked, and at one point it was out for a whole week. The pools were dirty, the walls so thin we could hear everything the neighbors did, and there was a three-day water cut with no explanation from the condo. There aren't any washing machines, either. I stayed for three months, and by the end the place felt unlivable. I don't recommend this condo at all. You can find a better one at the same price or even cheaper.
The gym is closed at the moment, and there are no pool loungers. They often leave the trash uncleared, while problems take ages to resolve at reception and usually need more than one try. Fire alarm tests also happen quite often at night. The staff don't seem willing to take responsibility for anything. Not a great place to stay.
